FAQ

There's some questions I get more often than others, so I've placed them in this FAQ section. Please read before you contact me.

How much do you charge for a website design?

It completely depends on the project. In my book, there's really no 'typical' project. The amount of research, design and development work is different in each project, regardless of the amount of (different) pages needed.

If you want to know how much it would cost for me to design your website, tell me a bit about your project, it's goals, functionalities and pages you have in mind, what you need me to do (information architecture, wireframing, graphic design, frontend coding...) and when you'd like the work to be done. Based on this information I can probably give you a good idea of the costs involved.

What fonts did you use in your sites design?

The logo and headers are set in DIN Medium Alternate. Note that the logo was manually given a worn look, it's (unfortunately) not purchasable like that. The body text and sidebards are set in Georgia.

Note: please don't ask me to send you fonts. (some of) The fonts I've used are not freeware and I am not about to to violate the terms under which I've purchased them. On a positive note, none of the fonts used here are really expensive. So buy yourself a legit version!

What's those texts in the background of your site?

They are a variety of handwritten excerpts from song lyrics by Shai Hulud and Zombie Apocalypse.

Is it ok if I rip your site?

Actually, this is not a question I get too often. Some -assholes- people just take whatever they like from my site, graphics, text, and often even the whole thing.

Anyhow, it is not, and I repeat, NOT ok to rip my site. Not a small graphic, not a few lines of text, not anything. Also, I do not consider it a compliment if you do (as some have suggested).

If you feel there is a very good reason you should copy anything from this site, you ask first. Period.

Sounds harsh? Maybe so. My work gets stolen regularly, and I don't enjoy having to locate and contact copycats in order to get the copied work offline. It is however always taken down, so save us both the time, yourself the trouble, and use your own creativity.
